Bridal Couture Process

There is no outfit as iconic as your bridal dress. This is why we have developed the perfect process to create your dream dress. Whether you seek personal touches and changes to an existing design or would like for us to create a new custom design, our staff is trained in providing an unforgettable experience offering customization and modification. Saba Nisa Khan specializes in creating personalized designs to bring your vision to life.

Note: Please note that we, at Saba Nisa Khan, only work with 50 brides at a time. This is to ensure we can give our clients our full attention and make sure they receive the best service. If our bridal list is full, we will add you to our waitlist and reach out to you as soon as a spot becomes available. This could take anywhere from a couple weeks to a few months. We encourage you to reach out as soon as possible to get your name onto our list and fill out the attached form.

Conceptulization

At Saba Nisa Khan, our bridal process begins with understanding the bride’s vision. Clients reach out to us via website, email, text, WhatsApp, and Instagram conveying their interest in becoming a Saba Nisa Khan bride. We kindly request our clients to read over this document explaining our bridal couture process as well as fill out the form attached. Clients are requested to send in the completed form along with bridal dress inspiration pictures including as many details and specification as they’d like. This will help our design team thoroughly understand and conceptualize the bridal vision. Once our team goes over your submission, we will schedule a video meeting to discuss the design. If you are looking to modify or change an existing design, please send over the form with the dress name and your change request(s). Make sure to attach any pictures or inspiration for the changes as well. For outfit modifications and personalization, you will be taken straight to the details and measurements stage.

DESIGNING

After receiving the form and inspiration pictures, clients looking to get a custom new design created will be scheduled in for a video meeting. In the video meeting, we go over the bridal vision to get a thorough understanding of the dream dress. This stage also allows both parties to answer any questions and freely discuss any details. The designer may also show the client any potential designs in line with the vision. Following the video meeting, our design team will gather ideas and sketch out a new design based on the inspiration pictures, bridal vision details, and provided budget. Once a rough sketch is completed, we send a copy to the client. This allows our clients to visualize their dream dress. While some clients love the sketch in the first draft, others may request changes and additions. Some may even increase their budget at this stage to get a heavier dress. The requested changes are then made to the sketch and drafts are shared until the client is satisfied. Once the client is happy with the sketch of the new custom design, we begin on the details.

DETAILS/MEASUREMENTS

At the details and measurements stage, our team finalizes the materials, colors, work type and measurements. Clients are given the option to schedule an in-studio or video meeting to see the hundreds of shades and materials we offer as well as have their measurements taken. However, some clients may choose to opt out of a meeting and submit their measurements on their own as well as select their color, materials and work type through provided images. We advise our clients on our favorite choices to replicate their vision, but ultimately, we leave the decision to the client. Once the details are noted and measurements are taken, the order is ready to be placed.

PLACING ORDER

Once the order is ready to be placed, our team will write up the Bridal Agreement and send it to the client along with the invoice with all the details. According to the invoice and our bridal agreement, a deposit of 50% of the total payment must be made to place the order. The remainder 50% of the payment is due when the shipment is ready. At this stage, the client is requested to review and send the signed contract back to us with a screenshot or picture of the confirmation of payment via email to sabanisakhan@outlook.com. Once that is received, the order has been placed.

CREATION

Throughout the creation process, our team provides clients with picture and/or video updates. This allows our brides to be involved in the process. Our dresses are made in sequence of order placement. Once we begin on a bridal order, the client is notified. The process begins with the purchase of the materials. After gathering the materials, we prepare and dye the materials to the selected color(s) and shade(s). The order design and details are then sent to our sketch artist who creates life-size intricate outlines to set out where and how the work will be placed. This stage takes the longest duration of time. If a client is not getting a new custom design made but rather making changes to an existing design, this stage will be skipped for them. After the sketch artist completes the outlines, the client is sent picture and/or video updates before the hand work on the dress begins. Once the work begins, the kaam is carefully placed and bound onto the material by hand. This is the second longest stage. Once all the hand work is completed, the client is sent pictures and/or video updates of the work before the material enters the stitching stage. At this stage, the dress style is created and stitched to the provided measurements. Any requested attachments are also sewn on during this stage and the bride is sent picture and/or video updates. Final touches are made on the dress and quality control is conducted to ensure we are delivering our best. Once we are satisfied with our completed product, we carefully prepare it for shipping.

SHIPMENT READY

The client will be notified when the shipment is ready. The remaining 50% payment balance is due once the order is ready for shipment. The client is required to make full payment within 3 business days of the notification and send screenshot of payment confirmation to us via email to sabanisakhan@outlook.com. Once final payment is received, the order will be shipped. While some brides will choose to have their dresses shipped directly to them, others may prefer to pick up in person from our studio and request a fitting.

FITTING/COMPLETION

If a client has requested to pick up the dress from our studio, we will notify them upon its arrival and book a time for pick up. Brides are welcome to try on the dress at our studio and request a fitting. Once the client has received the dress, the order will be marked as completed. We encourage our brides to share pictures and videos of their special day with us or tag us online so we can stay connected.
